| Our lab works on basic and applied research in a wide spectrum of plant ecological disciplines including population biology, evolutionary ecology, community ecology and conservation biology. Our main research foci are functional biodiversity research, evolutionary ecology of rare and invasive plant species, biodiversity in the Alps, and life-history evolution. Depending on the research question, we use field studies, garden and greenhouse experiments, molecular techniques or a combination of them. We teach courses in plant ecology, plant evolution, plant systematics and invasion biology, and we offer field excursions for students. |
