Vacuolar transport equipment for growth regulation in plants (VaTEP)
VaTEP is a Marie Curie Research Training Network
The main objectives of the project are:
- identification of new tonoplast proteins in different plant species and their extensive molecular and biochemical characterisation;
- investigation of the dynamics of tonoplast transport equipment in response to growth stimuli;
- analysis and modelling of the dynamics of leaf and root growth controlled by tonoplast proteins.
The overall goal is to unravel the contribution of vacuolar transport activities to plant growth events and mechanisms.
